Ellsworth – Louise D. York, 72, of Ellsworth passed away at 2:30pm March 31, 2011 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

Funeral will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home. Pastor Nick Carlson will be officiating. Cremation will be accorded following the services.

Visitation will be held from 1-3:00pm also on Sunday.

Louise was born September 18, 1938 in Enos, IN the daughter of Rudolph and Geneva Mae Duzenberry Lade.

She married James Robert “Shorty” York, Sr. He died May 3, 2007 in Champaign.

Surviving are her children, James (Carla) York, Jr of Gibson City, Betty Truesdell of Ellsworth, Randy (Kimberlee) York of Melvin, Jonathan (Julie) York of Elliott, Bonnie (Doug) Bateman of Clinton, TN, Mark York of Cooksville, and Brenda (Eric Fox) York of Colfax; brothers and sisters, Leona Stowe, Thelma Mason both of Chatsworth, Betty White of Sheldon, Donald (Carolyn) Lade of Chatsworth, and Chuck Lade of Pontiac; 28 Grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; and best friend Thelma Edwards of Bloomington. She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and sisters and one grandson, Timothy Nathan Truesdell.

Louise was a member of Prairie Baptist Church in Gibson City. Louise was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who spent her life caring for her family.
