PIPER CITY — Cynthia Grace Franey, 26, Piper City, died
at 5:55p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 1, 2010) at Piper City Rehab & LivingCenter,
Piper City, following a courageous battle withcancer.

Her funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St.
Peter CatholicChurch, Piper City, with the Rev. Michael Pennock
officiating.Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Piper City. Visitation will
befrom 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Reilly-Redenius Funeral Home, PiperCity, with
recitation of the rosary at 3:30 p.m. Memorial gifts maybe made to her daughter
Judith’s education fund or to a charity ofthe donor’s choice.

Cindy was born July 9, 1984, in Fairbury, the daughter of
Jane(Boma) and William “Bill” Franey.

Surviving are her daughter, Judith Ann Matthews, Gilman;
herfather, William Franey, Piper City; two brothers, Bill (Melissa)Franey,
Decatur, and Michael Franey, Piper City; two sisters, Becky(Jeff) Swartz,
DeLand, and Jill (Nick) Jones, Morton; and manyaunts, uncles, nieces, nephews
and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother; her aunt, Judy
Mogged; andher grandparents, Jack and Marjorie Boma and John and
MaybelleFraney.

Cindy was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Piper
City. Shegraduated from Tri Point High School in 2003, attended ParklandCollege
for two years, and obtained a CNA certificate. She hadworked at the Gilman Dairy
Queen and as a CNA at PrairieviewLutheran Home, Danforth.

Cindy loved her daughter Judith very much and enjoyed the
time shehad with her. She also loved her family and doting on her
youngrelatives. Her hobbies included karate, music andphotography.

Cindy always had a smile and touched so many lives. She
will begreatly missed by her family and
friends.
