Obit of Leroy A. Dehm


Leroy Albert Dehm, 87, Watseka, IL, formerly of Piper City, IL. died at 7:45 P.M., Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Iroquois Memorial Hospital, Watseka, IL. His funeral will be 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at The United Methodist Church, Piper City, IL with Rev. Elizabeth Reis officiating. Burial will be in the Chatsworth Cemetery, Chatsworth, IL. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. prior to the services at the United Methodist Church, Piper City, IL.
Leroy was born on July 5, 1925 in rural Piper City, IL to Albert and Nellie (Burrow) Dehm. He married Delie Harding on June 21, 1947 in Gilman, IL.She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Brenda (Ken) Dirks of Milford, IL and Kathy (Mike) Claywell of Farmington MN. Five grandchildren, Jason (Angela) Dirks of Neoga, IL, Travis (Anna) Dirks of Lincoln, IL, Amber (Justin) Boudreau of Ashkum, IL., Cameron Claywell and Kristen (Wes) Claywell of Minnesota. Five great grandchildren, Reece Boudreau, Ellie Dirks, Graysen Boudreau, Khloe Dirks, and Aubrey Dirks.One sister and brother-in-law Gladys and Jim Roush of Bourbonnais,Il.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Kathleen Baier.
He farmed in rural Piper City most of his life. He loved playing cards, camping and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.

Obit of Elsie M. (Dubree) Seegmiller


Elsie M. Seegmiller, 81, of Piper City, IL, died at 9:00 P. M., Sunday, February 10, 2013 at the Piper City Rehab and Living Center, Piper City. Her funeral will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the United Methodist Church, Piper City with Rev. Elizabeth Reis officiating. Burial will be in Brenton Cemetery, Piper City. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 16, 2013 at United Methodist Church, Piper City. Memorials may be made to the Donor's Choice.
Elsie was born on February 13, 1931 in Forrest, IL., to J. L. & Flora (Ferguson) Dubree. Her childhood was spent in Kentucky, Forrest and Chatsworth. She attended schools in Chatsworth, IL. She married George B. Seegmiller on March 21, 1951 in Chatsworth. He died on March 24, 1980. Survivors include a daughter - Sheila Depler of Sesser, IL. Three grandchildren - Michael Depler of New Mexico, Holly Taylor and Chole Depler both of Sesser, IL. Two great grandchildren - Alyssa Overturf and Macey Taylor both of Sesser, IL. Two sisters - Gennieve Mylcraine and Barbara Rigsby both of Piper City. One brother - Roy Dubree of Boston, Kentucky. Several nieces and nephews. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law - Thomas Depler, two sisters - Gladys and Bernice and two brothers - Jess Dubree and Wayne Dubree.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Piper City. Elsie had worked at Henalds Factory in Piper City, Nichols-Homeshield in Chatsworth and also was a substitute cook for the Piper City schools.
