Obit of Leroy Leonard Rubinas

LeRoy Leonard Rubinas, 80, of Chatsworth, IL passed away at 10:47 pm on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at his residence. A private family visitation and graveside service will be held at Chatsworth Cemetery with Pastor Corinne Blissard officiating. Calvert & Martin Funeral Home in Chatsworth is handling arrangements for the family. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. LeRoy was born November 12, 1934 in Chicago, IL a son of Anton J. and Helen (Paulauskis) Rubinas. He married Doris E. Bunke on November 12, 1968 in Las Vegas, NV. She passed away on July 19, 2011. He is survived by one son: LeRoy Anthony (Rosenda) Rubinas of Appleton, NY; two granddaughters: Michelle Rose and Marcela Doris Rubinas; one sister: Linda Rakowski; and several nieces and nephews. LeRoy served his country in the United States Navy on the USS Manchester. He was a barber on the ship. Upon arriving home, he worked for Northwest Airlines in Air Cargo for over forty years until his retirement.
