Obit of Wilma (Ferguson) Dehm



Wilma Dehm, 88, of Chatsworth, IL passed away at 12:57 am on Monday, February 02, 2015 at Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center in Normal, IL. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Chatsworth United Methodist Church with Rev. Roosevelt Smith officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow services at Chatsworth Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Calvert & Martin Funeral Home in Chatsworth is handling arrangements for the family. Wilma was born January 10, 1927 in Cropsey, IL, a daughter of Millard and Lillie (Van Walker) Ferguson. She married Lyle “Ike” Dehm on September 15, 1945 in Chatsworth, IL. He survives. Also surviving are her children: Angela (Tom) Melody of Chatsworth, IL and Jeffrey (Floral) Dehm of Chatsworth, IL; two sisters: Marjorie Loughran of Pontiac, IL and Pat Hornickel of Chatsworth, IL; three grandchildren: Brad Dehm, Ashley Talleur, and Nicole Moore; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son: Eric Dehm; six brothers: Conley Ferguson, Millard Ferguson, Jr., Clarence Dudley Ferguson, Larry D. Ferguson, Rodney Joe Ferguson, and Gary Lee Ferguson; five sisters: Jean Lavely, Ann Robbins, GerriReyneirs, Mariruth Therien, and Emmajean Ferguson in infancy. Wilma attended Fairbury schools. Wilma and Ike owned and operated Westside Drive-in in Chatsworth, for five years prior to them having children. After that, Ike and Wilma owned and operated Dehm Bus Service where she served as the bookkeeper for over 50 years as well as a homemaker. Wilma was a member of Chatsworth United Methodist Church. She loved coming from a large family and she enjoyed having fun together. Wilma was a talented seamstress and enjoyed making clothes for her family. She was a kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
