Ezra Boruff, Jr. age 67, of Monticello, passed away at 8:42 A.M. July 3, 2014 at his home with his loving
family by his side. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, July 5, 2014 at the First Baptist
Church of Monticello with Pastor Mitch Estep officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of
service at the First Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Monticello Township Cemetery. Ezra was born
June 28, 1947 in Fairbury, Illinois the son of Ezra and Jessie (Sharp) Boruff, Sr. He married Gitana Leister
on July 24, 1966 at the First Baptist Church in Fairbury, Illinois. She survives. Also surviving are his
daughter Laura Gail (Kevin James) Hiller of Monticello; son Lonnie Stephen (Leslie Ann) Boruff of Chicago.
9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; Sister Judy (Bill) Owens of Bloomington, IL; brothers Fran (Bettie)
Boruff of Colorado; and Larry (Mary) Boruff of Chatsworth. Ezra was preceded by his parents and 1 sister
Betty Boruff. He was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church of Monticello. Memorials made be
made to the First Baptist Church of Monticello.
