Obit of John Wayne Hall


John Wayne Hall Chatsworth- John Wayne Hall, 64, of Chatsworth, IL passed away at 8:16 am on Sunday,
January 11, 2015 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, IL. Funeral services will be held at
10:30 am on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Pontiac Bible Church with Pastor Jarrod Bartholomew officiating.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Calvert & Martin Funeral Home in Chatsworth. Committal and Graveside services will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Chatsworth Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to SELCAS or Pontiac Bible Church. John was born October 4, 1950 in Thawville, IL a son of Gerald and Eunice (Page) Hall. He was married to Luvern Gerdes. She passed away. He then married Cynthia Gilder on June 22, 1990 in Chatsworth, IL. She
survives. He is survived by his children: Bryan Smith of Bloomington, IL, Becky (Justin) Pirlot of
Bloomington, IL, Joy Ready of Mason, IL, Donald Gerdes of Anchorage, AK, and Zoe (Glenn) Pearson of
Lafayette, IN; his grandchildren: Shawn Ready, Mackinzie Everroad, Kaylee Harris, and Haydence and
Johnathen Pirlot; his siblings: Linda Calloway of Knoxville, Roy (Becky) Hall both of Knoxville, TN, Rick (Sue) Hall of Rossville, IN, and David (Teri) Hall of Gilman, IL; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife. John worked for Nichol’s Home Shield for forty-two years before retiring. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening, woodworking, and building things. He was a member of Pontiac Bible Church. He was previously a member, deacon, and Sunday School teacher at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chatsworth. John was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed.
