Obit of LeRoy G. Langhans


LeRoy G. Langhans, 77 of Chatsworth formerly of St. Louis, Mo; passed away at 4:45 am, Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at his residence in Chatsworth.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a Memorial service will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Crossroads Community Church, 3003 S. Eola, Aurora, Il., with Pastor Daren Snow officiating.
A military inurnment will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Mo. at a later date. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home , Fairbury is assisting the family with arrangements.
LeRoy was born June 4, 1936 in Columbia, Il.; the son of Arthur and Emmaline (Kemper) Langhans. He married Joanie English on August 9, 1957 in St. Louis, Mo. She preceded him in death on May 21, 1992. 
Survivors include his children, Dawn (Rob) Cervanka of Glendale Heights, Il.; Kimberly (Scott) Weigand and Brian (Jen) Langhans both of Plainfield, Il.;one brother, Richard Langhans, two sisters, Marilyn Langhans and Carolyn (Tom) Jankowski all of St. Louis, Mo.; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one brother, one son, Ron Langhans and one daughter, Sherry Thomason.
Mr. Langhans served our country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a true outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
