BLOOMINGTON — Clarence and Elizabeth Culkin of Bloomington will be celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at a later date and a card shower.
Culkin and Elizabeth Aberle were married June 26, 1948, at St. Marks Catholic Church, Peoria. Their attendants were the late Charles Culkin and Phyllis Burdette.
They are the parents of Diana (John) Hoke, Carbondale; Teresa (Steve) Flury, Wilmington, N.C.; Thomas (Mary) Culkin, Fairbury; and the late Michael Culkin.
They have 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He built and owned funeral homes in Forrest and Chatsworth, serving the communities for 33 years. He also owned Culkin Insurance Agency. She is a retired registered nurse and assisted her husband in his profession.
