Florence “Evelyn” Sutcliffe, 88, of Chatsworth, IL passed away at 2:08 pm on Tuesday, December 8, 2015
at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church
in Chatsworth, IL with Pastor Mauricio Vieira officiating. Visitation will be held at the church two hours prior
to the service. Burial will follow services in Chatsworth Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St.
Paul’s Lutheran Church in Chatsworth.
Evelyn was born May 15, 1927 in Flanagan, IL a daughter of Folkert and Amelia (Tarmann) Hinrichs. She
married Andrew F. Sutcliffe on September 21, 1958 in Flanagan, IL. He passed away on September 12,
1995.
She is survived by her son: Mark Sutcliffe of Chatsworth, IL; seven grandchildren; and six great
grandchildren. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one son: Roger Sutcliffe.
Evelyn was educated in the Flanagan Schools. Prior to getting married she worked and Murphy’s in
Pontiac. Once she was married, she became a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and
received a plaque for her dedication.. Evelyn also was a member of Senior Citizen’s Club, Women’s Club,
and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed being around people and driving around town.
She was a loving mom, grandma, great grandma, and friend who will be greatly missed.
