Obit of Mark A. "Grizz" Grizzle
CHATSWORTH — Mark A. "Grizz" Grizzle, 61, of Chatsworth, died at 11:39 a.m. Thursday (Jan.
12, 2017), with his family by his side, after a hard-fought battle at OSF Saint Francis Medical
Center, Peoria.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City. Burial will be at Wiley
Cemetery, Colfax. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
He was born July 10, 1955, in Bloomington, a son of Myron and Lois O'Brien Grizzle. He married
Kay L. Tauber on March 14, 2004, in Florida. She survives in Chatsworth.
Also surviving are a daughter, Heather (Jared Milton) Grizzle, Colfax; a granddaughter, Alexis
Molck; five siblings, Dennis (Barb) Grizzle, Jayne Cook, David (Tamara) Grizzle, Robert (Patricia
Puetz) Grizzle and Joseph (Tina) Grizzle; a brother-in-law, Sam (Barbara) Tauber; and his beloved
nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother-in-law, Rick Cook; sister-in-law, Jane Tauber;
and mother-in-law, Verla Tauber.
Mark worked at Alamo Group Inc., Gibson City, for 42 years. He was an avid Chicago Cubs,
Chicago Bears and NASCAR fan, especially Jeff Gordon. Mark particularly enjoyed spending time
with his family, friends and pets.
Memorials may be made to the Chatsworth fire and emergency medical services department,
American Cancer Society or Central Illinois Small Animal Rescue.
