JOHN W. STUART, 69, of Fulton, IL, died Monday, December 26, 2016 at his home.
Cremation rites have been accorded, there will be no visitation or memorial service. A
private interment will be held at the Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL. The Fulton
Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
John was born April 25, 1947, in Morrison, IL to Henry J. and Cornelia (Rose) Stuart.
He received a Master's of Education Degree from Illinois State University,
Bloomington, IL. He married Janice M. (Edlund) Mitchell on November 10, 1973 in
Morrison. She died April 6, 2002. John was a teacher at Fulton Riverbend High
School and worked as a painter during the summers. He was a member of Fulton
Presbyterian Church. A memorial to Fulton Presbyterian Church has been
established.
Survivors include one step daughter, Susan Gregory of St. Augustine, FL; two step
sons, Stephen (Sue Ann) Mitchell of Lenoir, NC and William (Amy) Mitchell of
Clemmons, NC; four step grandchildren; one step great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janice; two brothers, Gerald
Stuart and Edward Stuart.
