Obit of Leona (Lade) Stow
Leona Louise Stow, 89, of Piper City, IL formerly of Chatsworth, IL passed away at 3:00 am on Friday,
February 3, 2017 at Piper City Rehab and Living Center.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm on Monday, February 6, 2017 at Chatsworth Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Chatsworth Sesquicentennial Fund. Calvert & Martin Funeral
Home in Chatsworth is handling arrangements for the family.
Leona was born August 6, 1927 in Martinton, IL a daughter of Randalph and Eva (Dusenberry) Lade. She
married Hiram “Stubby) Stow on April 6, 1947. He passed away on October 17, 1982.
She is survived by her siblings: Thelma Mason and Donald (Carolyn) Lade both of Chatsworth, Betty White
of Sheldon, IL, and Charles Lade of Pontiac, IL; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death
by her parents; husband; and siblings: Merle Lade, Dorothy Lee, Louise York, and Gerald Lade.
Leona worked at Nichols Homeshield for many years until her retirement.
