Barbara Lee Kuntz, 79, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Price William Hospital in Manassas, Va. Mrs. Kuntz was born in Princeton, Illinois on April 17, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Phillip and Hazel Kopp. Mrs. Kuntz married her husband, Arlen Kuntz, of Strawn, Illinois on November 12, 1955. After moving to Virginia with her family, Mrs. Kuntz served as a budget analyst in the Pentagon for 15 years. She achieved a US Civil Service rank of GS-13 during her exceptional career. When she retired, she and her husband operated a home improvement and remodeling business in Springfield, Va.
Survivors include three children, six grandchildren and a great grandson. Also a brother, and two sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband and two infant twin daughters, Kathleen and Ann Marie Kuntz.
A visitation will be held at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 1:00 pm until the start of the service at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Kuntz's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
