Obit of Dolores Lillian Berryhill

Dolores Lillian Berryhill, 76, of Chatsworth, passed away at 5:55 p.m. on Thursday (June 4, 2015) at her residence. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at Calvert and Martin Funeral Home in Chatsworth. According to the family's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded following visitation. Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family. Dolores was born Dec. 12, 1938, in Chicago, a daughter of William and Helen Taylor. She married J.D. Berryhill in 1956. They divorced in 1979. He preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 2011. Surviving are her children, Mike (Lynn) Berryhill, of Piper City, Jay (Angie) Berryhill, of Pontiac, Donna (Bart) Mitchell, of Peotone, Brian Berryhill, of Indiana, Pam Berryhill Gaus, of Chatsworth, and Julie Berryhill, of Bonfield; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley (Albert) Derks, of Florida; and her twin brother, Donald Taylor, of Chicago Heights. Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Bill; and one sister, Phyllis. Dolores worked at many places as a housekeeper. She loved the casino and lottery tickets. Her true joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren. Dolores was a loving mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, sister, aunt and friend, who will be greatly missed.
