Kenneth R. Schade, 81, of Gilman, IL, died at 6:10 A.M. Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the Iroquois Memorial Hospital, Watseka, IL. His funeral will be at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, June 7 , 2015 at the United Methodist Church Gilman with the Rev. Anita Munden officiating. Burial will be in the Gilman Cemetery, Gilman, with military rites by the Gilman American Legion Post #499. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Saturday, June 6, 2015 at the Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman. Memorials may be made to Kenneth's family or to the Donor's Choice. Kenneth was born on June 8, 1933 in Chatsworth, IL to H.W. & Emmily Bork Schade. He attended Chatsworth schools. He married Sharon L. Lake on September 22, 1965, she survives along with two sons, Kevin (Dana) Schade and Kenneth S. Schade, one daughter Kathy Schade all of Gilman. Three grand-children, Jeremy, Kale and Ryenn "Katie" Schade. One brother Carl (Sandy) Schade of Pontiac, IL and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Bonnie. Kenneth was of the christian faith, He was an Army veteran serving in the Korean War from 1953-1955. Kenneth enjoyed playing euchre and fishing. He was an avid sports fan, following the Chicago Cubs, Bulls, Bears, Black Hawks and also his children and grand-children's sporting events. He coached little league for five years.
