Eulah M. Lee, 103, of St. Mary’s Health Care, Lafayette, Ind., died there Tuesday (Feb. 21, 2012), passing peacefully in her sleep.
She was born Dec. 4, 1908, in Strawn.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Windler Funeral Home, Fowler, with burial at Fowler Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fowler Food Pantry, in care of Fowler Baptist Church, P.O. Box 167, Fowler, IN 47944.
She is survived by her children, Norma (Howard) Higley, Fowler, Ind., and Ronald Lee (C. June), Bloomington; grandchildren, Richard (Jackie) Higley, Jacqui (M. Tristan) Thomas, Rebecca (James) Longster, Cherie (Michael) Porter and Steven (Trisha) Higley; and 50-plus great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence W. Lee, and a grandson, William P. Higley.
Among her hobbies were quilting, gardening, canning and reading. She loved working in Christ’s ministries, VBS, Sunday school and servicemen ministries. She saw amazing advancement in her century and loved to share stories about them. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
