Obit of Jacquelyn (Danforth) Chatwood
PEORIA - Jacquelyn Danforth Chatwood, 87, died on June 5, 2016, at the Christian Buehler Memorial Home in
Peoria.
Jackie was born in Chatsworth, IL on December 5, 1928, the daughter of Wilmer E. and Adelia (Berlet) Danforth.
Her mother died when Jackie was 10, and Jackie went to live with her aunt and uncle, Elizabeth and Lyle Danforth,
in Saunemin IL. She graduated from Saunemin High School in 1946. Jackie then moved to Peoria to attend the
Methodist School of Nursing from which she graduated in 1949 as an RN.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, her aunt and uncle, her daughter Toni Marie Siegle of Peoria, her
sister Dorothy O'Connor of New York and her brother Robert Danforth of Peoria.
She is survived by her daughters, Kristine Chatwood of Peoria, and Marty S. Chatwood of Seffner, FL; her
grandson Bradley D. Siegle of Nashville TN; and her loving nieces and nephews, other family members and
friends.
Jackie worked as an RN for Drs. Cooley and Brandis and at the Medical and Surgical Clinic. In 1968 she joined
Drs. Carl Adams and Robert Hertenstein when they opened their practice, Associated Surgical Group, in Peoria.
She worked there until her retirement.
At Jackie's request, there will be no service. Memorial contributions may be made to the no-kill animalshelter
TAPS, 100 TAPS Lane, Pekin IL 61554.
Jackie's family would like to thank the entire staff of the Nursing Center at Buehler Home for the loving and
compassionate care they gave to her.
Cremation has been accorded by Schmidt-Haller Burial and Cremation Services.
