From email from Bob Saathoff DECATUR — James Albany Wilson, 69, went on to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday evening (Nov. 28, 2009). All are welcome to attend the graveside service at noon Thursday at Graceland Cemetery, Decatur. There will be no visitation. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Forsyth Baptist Church or to the Gideons International. Born Nov. 1, 1940, at Fairbury, he was the eldest son of James A. and Gladys Wilson. Jim was a loving husband to his surviving wife, Sandy. This September they celebrated 45 wonderful years together. Also surviving are his parents, James and Gladys Wilson, Chatsworth; his daughter, Jennifer (Dan) McClelland, and grandson, Ryan, Danville, Ky.; and brother, Ronald C. (Cindy) Wilson, Merrill, Wis. Jim served in the National Guard in the early 1960s. He worked as a licensed barber before being employed at Tate & Lyle International (A.E. Staley Manufacturing Co.) from where he retired. He was an active member and faithfully served as a longtime deacon at Forsyth Baptist Church.
