Frances E. Friedman, 87 of Fairbury passed away at 9:40 pm, Sunday, August 6, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be directed to Fairbury American Legion Speedway, Fairbury or Livingston County Humane Society. Cremation rites will follow the visitation with a private family graveside inurnment in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury at a later date. Frances was born February 7, 1930, in Chatsworth, a daughter to Claude C. and Mayme W. (Berlette) Wilson. She married Harold J. Friedman June 11, 1950, in Chatsworth. He died November 24, 1995. Survivors include one daughter, Pamela (Tom) Hedrick of Fairbury; two sons, Roger (Janis) Friedman of Fairbury; Randy (Lisa) Friedman of Downs; three sisters, Lois Wallrich, Marilyn Dehm, both of Chatsworth; and Mary Lou West of Knoxville; one brother, Claude “Jr.” Wilson of Dwight; nine grandchildren, Daren (Kelly) Friedman, Eric (Kim) Friedman, Jeb (Niki) Friedman, Denver (Mindy) Hedrick, Brooke (Jason) Welborn, Beth (Chris) Mygatt, Kara (Andrew) Weber, Jasmine Bettis, Amanda Bettis and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; 5 brothers and 2 sisters and one infant son, Virgil Allan Friedman. Frances was an avid Chicago Bulls fan and loved her World Champion Cubs. She enjoyed local dirt track racing on Saturday nights in Fairbury. Her dog Maizie gave her great joy and comfort. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
