Obit of Geneva (Garmon) Dancy- 2015
BISMARCK – Geneva Dancy, 81, of Bismarck passed away at her home on Thursday
(April 9, 2015).
Geneva was born on April 4, 1934, in Chatsworth to Hebron and Mary (Mosby) Garmon.
Geneva married the love of her life Kenneth Dancy on May 29, 1953; he preceded her in
death.
Surviving Geneva are one brother, Ronald Garmon of Tilton; three sisters, Judy Willis of
Danville, Sandra Wilson of Bismarck and Ruby Benway of Washington, Ill.; and many
nieces and nephews.
Geneva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Michael Dancy; two
brothers, Ray and Donald Garmon; and four sisters, Dorothy Perkins, Nina Flessner,
Virginia O'Conner and Shelby Aquino.
Geneva was a graduate of Rossville High School. She previously attended Walnut Corner
Church of Christ and as of recently had been attending First Church of Christ in
Bismarck.
She enjoyed her flowers, reading, crocheting and quilting. Geneva also enjoyed spending
her winters in Florida.
A Celebration of Geneva's life will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, at Sunset Funeral
Home and Cremation Center, Danville. Officiating will be Pastor Jim Boudouris of the
First Church of Christ in Bismarck. Burial will follow in Gundy Cemetery. Visitation will
be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made in Geneva's name to the First Church of Christ in Bismarck.
