Gladys R. Wilson, 93 of Chatsworth passed away at 2:44AM Sunday February 27, 2011 at OSF St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Bloomington.
Funeral services will be 11:00AM Wednesday March 2, 2011 at the Martin Funeral Home in Chatsworth with Rev. Adam Powers officiating. Visitation will be 5-7PM Tuesday March 1, 2011, and also from 10:30-11AM prior to services at the funeral home where memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church in Chatsworth. Interment will be at the Chatsworth Cemetery.
Gladys was born July 18, 1917 in La Follote, TN, a daughter of Charles and Isabel (White) Wilson. She married James A. Wilson, March 12, 1938 at the Lutheran Parsonage in Gilman, IL. He survives.
She is survived by: one son: Ron (Cynthia) Wilson of Merrill, WI; four grandchildren: Jennifer (Dan) McClelland of Danville, KY; Kim (Dave) Quinn of Bloomington; Kerin (Jerry) Jones of Bloomington and Sarah (Mike) Dilley of Lee’s Summit, MO; Nine great-grandchildren, Five great-great-grandchildren; two step grandchildren, four step great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law: Sandy Wilson of Decatur; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son: James A. Wilson Jr., 1 sister, and 3 brothers.
Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker and had worked at the former Hennels Manufacturing in Piper City.
She enjoyed crafting, flowers, working in her yard and visiting with people.
She was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church in Chatsworth.
