Derr Nickrent, 90, of Chillicothe formerly of Roanoke passed away Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria. She was born on Feb. 23, 1920 in Chatsworth, IL a daughter of Theodore and Clara Haberkorn Derr. She married Raymond Nickrent on May 8, 1944 in Chatsworth. He passed away on Aug. 13, 1986. Marguerite helped with school custodial work with her husband at Sowers Elementary. She was a housekeeper and a meter reader for water and sewer in Roanoke. She was a member of St. Edward's Catholic Church in Chillicothe. Survivors include two daughters, Judith Ann (Ray) McKinney of Imnaha, OR; Janice Lynn (Ramon) Smith of Chillicothe; three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two brothers, James (Dorothea) Derr of Pekin and Paul (Mary) Derr of Coal City. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister. There will be no visitation or services. Cremation will be accorded. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, Lupus Foundation or Rescue 33 in Chillicothe. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.ruestmanharrisfuneralhome. com.
