ELGIN - David L. Hendershott, age 66, died Friday, January 20, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving
family. He was born October 26, 1950 in Peoria Il, the oldest of ten children. After serving in the US Navy, he
met his wife, Rebecca. David worked as an RN, and settled in the Elgin area to raise their family. He fought the
good fight against cancer, but the battle was too great and the Good Lord called him home. He leaves behind his
wife of 28 years Rebecca. His children, Colin and his wife Lyndley; Rachel and her husband, Nolan and three
grandsons, Lukas, Kaleb, and Mikah; Molly and her fiance Griffin; Thomas, Joshua, Carlos, Rob, Max and
Lucy. He will also be missed by his sisters and brothers, innumerable nieces, nephews, a vast extended family,
and a great faith community. David will be reunited with his mom, dad, brother and sister in heaven. Visitation
will be held Monday from 4 to 8:00 P.M. at Yurs Funeral Home St. Charles. Funeral Mass will be held 10:30
A.M. Tuesday at St. John Neumann Catholic Church 2900 E. Main Street St. Charles. Burial will be at River
Valley Memorial Gardens West Dundee. Contributions may be made to the family. For more information, please
