James L. Haberkorn, 86, of
Chatsworth, IL, passed away at 5:15 pm on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Heartland
Health in Normal.
A Mass of Christian Burial
will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Saints Peter and Paul
Catholic Church in Chatsworth with Father Richard Brunskill officiating.
Visitation will be held
two hours prior to the Mass at church. Christian burial will follow at
Chatsworth Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Livingston County
Humane Society.
Jim was born September 11,
1928 in Chicago, IL a son of William and Helen (Koehler) Haberkorn. He married
Shirley Hoelscher on October 18, 1950 in Pontiac, IL. She passed
away on May 15, 2009.
He is survived by his
siblings: Alan Haberkorn of Chatsworth, Wayne (Karen) Haberkorn of Mundelein, Delores
Wagner of Titusville, FL, and Jerome Haberkorn of Albuquerque, NM; and numerous
nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one
brother: William Haberkorn.

Shirley, owned and operated Culkin Hardware Store starting in 1946 until 1994.
He was a loving brother, uncle, and friend to all who knew him.
