From the Kankakee Daily Journal Visitation for Norma Jeanne Graveline, 79, of Bourbonnais, will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Bourbonnais Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Maternity BVM Catholic Church in Bourbonnais, where she was a member. Burial will be in Maternity BVM Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maternity BVM Catholic School. She passed away Monday (March 22, 2010) at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. Mrs. Graveline was a rehab aide at Kankakee Terrace Nursing Home for 25 years, retiring in 1997. She was born Feb. 8, 1931, in Danforth Township, the daughter of Jesse and Teresa McNutt. Her husband, Ronald Graveline, whom she married Sept. 3, 1949, in St. Louis, Mo., is deceased. She graduated from Chatsworth High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters. Norma Jeanne is survived by her four children, Michael (Marsha) Graveline, Craig Graveline and Rhonda DePasquale, all of Bourbonnais, and Lynn (Jill) Graveline of Bradley; two granddaughters, Madeline and Emily DePasquale, both of Bourbonnais; one sister, Janice Goin of Orangeburg, S.C.; five sisters-in-law, Joan Siefert of Kankakee, Dolores (Alan) Friedewold of Columbia, Ky., Matilda Cashion of Whittier, Calif., Margaret Graveline of Michigan City, Ind., Maxine Graveline of Palm Bay, Fla.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Mark Graveline. |
