Obit of Matthew Aaron Weaver

Matthew Aaron Weaver, 27, of Newton, IL formerly of Chatsworth, IL passed away at 10:05 pm on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at his residence. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Calvert & Martin Funeral Home in Chatsworth. Cremation rites will follow the visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made towards funeral expenses. Matt was born February 10, 1989 in Pontiac, IL a son of Robert and Tamela Weaver. He is survived by his father Robert (Bobbie) Weaver of Gardner, KS; his daughter: Alaina and her mother, Katie Davenport of Forrest, IL; his siblings: Melissa (John) Edwards of Chatsworth, IL, JD Ellerbrook of Gardner, KS, Rebecca Weaver (Eduardo Pozos) of Chatsworth, IL, Brittany Ellerbrook of Gardner, KS, and Garin Weaver of Gardner, KS; his nieces and nephews: Lauren and Kaleb Edwards of Chatsworth, IL, Khloe Saverino of Chatsworth, IL, Atticus Pozos of Chatsworth, IL, and Ryder Skillett of Gardner, KS; his aunts and uncles: Daniel (Janet) Roberts, Lynette Roberts, Glenn Weaver, Tony Duay, Traci Osorto, Debbie (Chuck) Garrett, Amy Bishop, Robert Karnes (Tamara McKinsey), Corey Karnes, and Tina (Scott) Emsweller; and his maternal grandmother: Pamela Willis of Chatsworth, IL. Matt was preceded in death by his maternal grandpa: Loren Wilkins; both paternal grandparents: Roberta (Daniel) Roberts; and Leola Weaver; his mother: Tamela Weaver; and one brother: Michael Weaver. Matt was very strong and determined. If he loved you it was with his whole heart. His daughter was the apple of his eye. Being Alaina’s dad was his greatest accomplishment. They had such a great bond. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend who will be greatly missed.

CHATSWORTH — Robert F. Kyburz, 76, of Cisne, formerly of Chatsworth, died Thursday (Feb. 25, 2016) at St. Mary’s Hospital, Evansville, Ind. Service: 9 a.m. Tuesday at Hosselton Funeral Home, Cisne. Visitation: 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial: 3 p.m. Tuesday at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. Survivors: wife, Norma Jean Kyburz, Cisne; daughters, Jana (Brad) Mugrage, Rinard; Sheryl (Dave) Brant, Cisne; Donna Boehm and Diana (Tim) Westfall, both of Danvers; and Deana Rever, Bloomington; son, Cale (Yvonne) Kyburz, Sacramento, Calif.; sisters, Jo (Larry) Neuzel, Lexington, Ky.; and Lois (Paul) Harms, College Station, Texas; brothers, Dean (Cindy) Kyburz, Decatur, and Paul (Shelia) Kyburz, Bloomington, Minn; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Obit of Shane R. Downs

Shane R. Downs, 55, Fairbury, died at 2:29 pm Tuesday, February 23, 2016 in Chatsworth. No service will be held and cremation rites have been accorded. Shane was born April 18, 1960 in Port Washington, WI the son of Linda Downs. Survivors include his mother, Linda E. Wolff, Pembine, WI, step daughter, Jennifer Marshall, step granddaughter, Addilynn Marshall, daughter, April, son, Shane, 2 sisters, Dondi, Colorado, Kelly, Texas and 1 brother, Steve, Wisconsin. Shane loved to work with his hands and being outside. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and spending time with friends. He will be missed by those who loved him.

Obit of Otis J. "Pops" Hurt

Fairbury, Otis J. “Pops” Hurt, 82, of Fairbury, passed away at 9:30am, Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Piper City Nursing Home. His funeral will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. Pastor Steve Anderson will be officiating. Burial will be in South Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury. His visitation will be held one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the J. A. Fowell American Legion Post #174, Forrest. Otis was born February 16, 1933 in Fairbury the son of Otis M. and Nola Ray Hurt. He married Carol J. Dickman on May 31, 1957. She died January 10, 2002. Surviving are his daughter, Cindy (John Shilts) Hurt of Fairbury; son, Todd (Kris) Hurt of Saunemin; grandchildren, Kevin (Sara) Hurt, Veronica and Valerie Hurt; great-grandchildren, Jude, Maxwell and McKinzie Hurt. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters. Otis is a veteran of the United States Air Force. Otis worked for the City of Fairbury and Forrest Milk Products. He owned and operated Pop’s Bar in Forrest and worked road construction for the Local Labor Union. He was a member of the Laborers Union, Roanoke and the J. A. Fowell American Legion Post #174, Forrest. In his younger days Otis was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Obit of Mary Lou (Mosier) Clubb

Mary Lou Clubb, 75, of Chatsworth, IL passed away at 12:25 am on Friday, January 29, 2016 at her home in Chatsworth. Her eulogy and prayer service will be held at 5:00 pm Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Calvert & Martin Funeral Home in Chatsworth with Charles Clubb officiating, assisted by Cindy Heern and Kayla Kaplan. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the funeral home on Sunday. According to her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded following services. Memorial contributions may be made to a St. Jude Midwest Affiliate. Mary Lou was born April 11, 1940 in Morris, IL a daughter of Clinton and Lois (Williams) Mosier. She married Carl E. Clubb on October 12, 1957 in Essex, IL. He survives. Also surviving are their seven children: Carl (Theresa) Clubb of Onarga, IL, David (Lori) Clubb of Coal City, IL, Kathleen Wood of Dwight, IL, Debbie (Al) Swiggett of Coal City, IL, Cindy (Paul) Heern of Hollywood, Maryland, Susan Loveall of Chatsworth, IL and Roger (Ashley) Clubb of Chatsworth, IL; her grandchildren: Chuckie Lee, Jazmin, Haleigh, and Cullen Loveall, Tim and Matthew Davis, and Kayla Kaplan, Kyle, Shelby, Jacob, Jeremy, Brandon, Nick, Cody, Stephanie, Stephen, and Ben; her great grandchildren: Carl, Marilah, and Alonzo, Zach, Damian, Mason, Dakota, Gavin, and Chase; her brothers: Joe and Ronnie Mosier; her dearest nephew: Charles “Dubber” Clubb; her beloved dog, Buddy; many nieces and nephews; and two special friends: Alice Loveall and Chris Nelson. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister: Cathy Clubb. Mary Lou was a very talented artist who enjoyed writing, sketching and drawing. She loved being around people and helping them in their time of need. She liked playing bingo and was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be greatly missed.
